Record

Settings in the Record menu allow you to configure how
and when the Observer 2100 records, in addition to video
quality, event duration, and more.
Rec. (Recording) Setup
Power On Auto Rec. (On/Off)
Turn this setting on to have the Observer 2100 automatically
continuously record when the vehicle's accessory (AC) switch
is in the on position.
Continuous Rec. (On/Off)
When Continuous Rec. is on, the Observer 2100
automatically deletes the oldest recorded data to make
room for new recorded data when space becomes
unavailable (commonly known as "wrapping"). Turn
Continuous Rec. off to display a prompt when storage
capacity is reached.
Event Rec. (On/Off)
Turn Event Rec. off to disable the ability to save event files
(both G-Sensor-triggered events and by pressing the E. Save
button)
OBSERVER 2100 USER GUIDE
Event Rec. Time Set. (15sec/30sec/1min/5min/10min)
Set the duration of an event recording. Events save the set
duration both before and after an event is triggered. For
example, if set to 15 seconds, an event records 30 total
seconds.
Security Setup
Security Mode (On/Off)
Turn Security Mode on to enter Security Mode when the
vehicle's ACC switch is turned off. If G-Sensor Rec., Motion
Rec., or Trig 4 Rec. is turned on, an event is covertly recorded
(no idicators on the Observer 2100 will be active and it will
appear turned off) when the Observer 2100 detects any of
those triggers.
G-Sensor Rec. (On/Off)
Turn G-Sensor Rec. on to automatically record an event
when the Observer 2100 receives a shock. G-Sensor
sensitivity can be adjusted in the System menu.
Motion Rec. (On/Off)
Turn Motion Rec. on to automatically record an event when
Security Mode is on and when any of the cameras detect
motion. Motion detection sensitivity can adjusted in the
System menu.
