  • Page 25 6. When the batteries are fully charged, unplug the charger power cord from the wall outlet and then from the charger power cord receptacle. NOTE: There is a charger inhibit function on your scooter. The scooter will not run and the battery condition meter will not operate while the batteries are charging.   • Page 26 We do not recommend that you charge your batteries for more than 24 consecutive hours. Can I use a different charger?   • Page 27 Do not use car (starting) batteries such as those sold for automobiles. WARNING! Corrosive chemicals contained in batteries. Use only AGM or Gel-Cell batteries to reduce the risk of leakage or explosive conditions. NOTE: Sealed batteries are not serviceable. Do not remove the caps.   • Page 28 Fully charged deep-cycle batteries provide reliable performance and extended battery service life. Keep the batteries fully charged whenever possible.   • Page 29 The 15-amp fuse located on the cable for the battery charger is to protect the electronic controller module if there is a problem with the charging circuit. See figure 13.
