Two large buttons below the keyboard are used like the buttons on a
mouse pointer. Press a button to select a menu item or to manipulate text
or graphics designated by the pointer. The left small button toggles
Universal Scroll on and off. When Universal Scroll is on, use the
AccuPoint to scroll the screen. The right small button works as the Back
button on your Internet browser. You can switch the functions of the large
and small buttons in the Mouse utility in Windows Control Panel.

AccuPoint II precautions

Certain conditions can affect the on-screen pointer when using AccuPoint
II. For example, the pointer may travel contrary to AccuPoint II operation
or an error message may appear, if

You touch the AccuPoint II during power-up.
I
You apply constant, soft pressure during power-up.
I
There is a sudden temperature change.
I
Strong stress is applied to the AccuPoint II.
If an error message appears, reboot the computer. If an error message does
not appear, wait a moment for the pointer to stop, then continue operation.

Replacing the cap

The AccuPoint II cap is an expendable item that should be replaced after
prolonged use. There is a spare AccuPoint II cap supplied with the computer.
1. To remove the AccuPoint II cap, firmly grasp the cap and pull it straight up.
2. Position a new cap on the peg and press it into place.
The peg is square, so be careful to align the cap's square hole with the peg.
