SAFETY RULES READ CAREFULLY THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS WHICH PROVIDE IMPORTANT INDICATIONS FOR THE SAFE USE AND MAINTENANCE OF THE APPLIANCE. This equipment must only be used for the purpose it was intended for and it must be installed in a suitable place for its use.
INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS MADE BY THE USER The machine needs to be placed on a stable surface which grants a safe position. Check this important requirement, since the manufacturer cannot be considered liable for any damage caused by the instability of the equipment. While prearranging the system, consider the hole on the bearing surface in order to carry out all electric and water connections through the opening below where, if recommended by the installer, the water softner needs to be placed.
STARTING OF THE MACHINE Follow the instructions below and refer to the components described at the end of this booklet. TURNING ON AND HEATING UP OF THE MACHINE Insert the plug into the socket of the electric system, the control light (22) starts flashing to show the connection to the electric main source (Stand-by).
COFFEE BREWING Unfasten the filterholder (11) from the brewing group (10) and insert the filter for one or two cups. Fill it with ground coffee, (using the coffee doser provided) making sure not to leave coffee powder on the upper edge of the filterholder (11), and press it with the suitable coffee tamper provided. Firmly attach the filterholder (11) to the brewing group (10).
STEAM DELIVERY (only possible with the boiler turned on, light 13 turned on) Insert the steam wand (2) in the pitcher containing the drink to be heated up. Turn the steam knob (6) anticlockwise, regulating the steam flow according to need. At the end of the heating phase of the drink, stop the steam delivery by turning the steam knob (6) clockwise.
ALARMS DESCRIPTION DAMAGED FLOWMETER This alarm indicates the malfunction of the flowmeter or a too fine coffee grinding. This is shown by the turning on of the lights 14-15-16 if you are making one coffee dose and of the lights 17-18-19 if you are making a two coffee dose.
REGULAR MAINTENANCE OF THE EQUIPMENT BY THE USER In order to grant the efficiency of the equipment and to maintain its proper operation, it is necessary to follow the manufacturer’s instructions carrying out a regular cleaning and maintenance program. WARNING The cleaning and ordinary maintenance operations, must be carried out by the user according to the following manufacturer’s instructions.
