MAINTENANCE 8, ADJUSTMENTS
Spark Arrester (optional)
If the engine has been running, the muffler will be hot
enough to burn you. Allow the muffler to cool before
proceeding.
INOTICEI
The spark arrester must be serviced every 100 hours to
maintain its efficiency.
1.
Remove the five 6 mm
screws and the muffler
protector.
2. Remove the four special
screws and remove the
spark arrester.
3. Check for carbon deposits
on the spark arrester and
clean if necessary. Be
careful to avoid damaging
the spark arrester screen.
The screen must be free of
breaks and holes. Replace it
if necessary.

4. Install the spark arrester and
muffler in the reverse order
of removal.
