Setting the Domain

Setting the domain in the Reg.x.Domain parameter is optional. It is used to form Invite URIs and
registration Request URIs that have a domain after the @ symbol instead of an IP address or FQDN from
the proxy or registrar server.

Assigning Line Key Functions

The line keys are numbered from 1 to 6 on the IP 706 phone and from 1 to 12 on the IP 712 phone. The
locations are shown in Figure 16. Line keys can be designated as one of four types: Line, BLF/DSS, Speed,
or DND. Table 5 on page 46 shows the parameters that must be configured for each line key type.
