6. Install the spark plugs carefully,
by hand, to avoid
cross-threading.
7. After each spark plug is seated, tighten
with a spark plug wrench
to compress
the washer.

Loose spark plugs can get hot enough to damage
the engine.
Overtightening
may damage
the threads.
NOTE:
If installing
new spark plugs, tighten
l/2 turn after the spark plugs seat
to compress
the washers.
If reinstalling
used spark plugs, tighten
l/8 - l/4
turn after the spark plugs seat to compress
the washers.
