Replacing the IDTEMP combo

This board includes two important system components:
– EEPROM for the chassis ID and ident number of the server
– Temperature sensor for monitoring the ambient temperature
Data for the EEPROM and current temperature values are transmitted to the
system board via the I
order to:
– correctly monitor the system temperature
– integrate into the server management environment
– install the server using ServerView Installation Manager
The IDTEMP combo is located within the front panel fan board (see

– all of the fans (for a description see the Operating Manual)
– all memory boards and memory dividers (for a description see the
Options Guide)

Make a note about the slot from which you pulled each memory
board for you have to replace it back into the same slot.
