3 From the Windows Start menu, select
Settings/Control Panel.
4 Double-click the Network icon.
5 In the Network window, click the Adapters tab.
6 In the Adapters tab, click Update.
7 In the Windows NT Setup window, type the letter
name of the CD-ROM drive and click Continue.

8 Respond to the prompts.
9 Restart the computer.
After you restart the computer, you may wish to configure
self-healing drivers. To do so, bring up the Adapters tab in
the Network window, select a NIC, and click Properties. For
details on the SHD parameters, see

Windows 2000

1 Turn on the power to the computer and start
Windows.
2 Insert the 3Com EtherLink Server CD in the CD-ROM
drive.
3 Right-click the My Network Places icon and select
Properties from the menu.
4 Right-click a local area connection and select
Properties from the menu.
5 Click Configure.
6 In the NIC window, click the Driver tab.
7 Click Update Driver.
8 In the Upgrade Device Driver Wizard, click Next.
9 Click Next.
10 Check the Search for CD-ROM Drives box, clear all
other check boxes and click Next.
