STATES OF THE FRONT PANEL OF THE PRINTER
Press the On/Off button on the right-hand part of the front panel.
note: Before operating on the On/Off button, make sure that the power supply cable is connected to a
grounded current outlet. For information regarding installation of the printer, see the Installation Guide
provided with this.
After pressing the On/Off button, the printer performs a set of self-tests in order to detect any
malfunctions of the system. Any error detected in this phase will be indicated on the front panel or by
the personal computer connected to the printer. For the appropriate corrective actions in the case of
error, see "Meaning of the LEDs of the front panel".
At the end of the self-test phase and if no errors are detected, the On/Off button lights up.
CONNECTING A DIGITAL CAMERA TO YOUR PRINTER
1
Turn on your digital camera. Read your camera's User's Guide for more information.
2
With your printer powered on, plug one end of the digital camera's USB cable to the USB connector on
the camera and the other end to the USB connector on the printer front panel.
The green USB status led switches on to indicate connection of a digital camera or of a USB memory. If
the printer does not recognize the camera connected, the led remains off.
