2–8 STARTING AND OPERATING
- D + : Drive
(5-speed automatic transmission
equipped vehicle)
• Use this position in normal driving
conditions.
• The gear is changed from 1st to 5th ac-
cording to the vehicle speed and the ac-
celeration with accelerator pedal.
• The shift indicator in instrument panel
shows the selected gear as shown ablve.
CAUTION
Please note that the vehicle may
slowly move forward when the selec-
tor lever is at "- D +" position.
WARNING
If you touch the selector lever unex-
pectedly while driving, the shiftable
gear may be changed. It can make
the vehicle unstable. Be carefule not
to touch the selector lever while
driving.

The shiftable gear is down/up by one step as
the lever is moved to left(-)/right(+) direction.
