ª Camera Search
≥In Camera Search Mode, images may
contain mosaic-pattern noise. This is a
phenomenon that is characteristic of
digital video and not a malfunction.
≥If the recording speed modes (SP/LP)
of previous recording and new
recording are different, playback
images may be distorted.
ª Quick Start
≥During the Quick Start Standby Mode,
a minute amount of electricity is
consumed.
≥When the Movie Camera is left in the
Recording Pause Mode for 6 minutes,
it will be turned into the Quick Start
Standby Mode. To turn the Movie
Camera on again, set the
[OFF/ON/MODE] Switch to [OFF] and
then set it to [ON] again. (The Quick
Start Mode will be restored.)
≥This Function is not activated in the
following cases even if the Quick Start
Recording Lamp lights:
≥A tape is not inserted, while the
Tape Mode is set.
≥A Card is not inserted, while the
Card Mode is set.
≥In the following cases, Quick Start is
temporarily cancelled when the Quick
Start Mode is set. Set the Camera
Mode again, and the Quick Start Mode
will be restored.
≥Set to the VCR Mode or Card
Playback Mode
≥The Battery is replaced
≥If the [QUICK START] Button is
pressed and held for approximately
2 seconds during the Quick Start
Standby Mode, the Lamp will go off and
the Movie Camera will completely be
turned off.
≥If the Movie Camera is not operated for
approximately 30 minutes when the
Quick Start Recording Lamp lights, the
Lamp will go off and the Movie Camera
will completely be turned off.
≥In the Automatic White Balance Mode,
the colour may be recorded unnaturally
at the beginning of the recording.
≥The zoom magnification differs from
when it is in the Quick Start Standby
Mode and when the recording starts.
ª Photoshot
≥Photoshot Recording results in slightly
inferior image quality.
Others
ª Progressive Photoshot
Function
≥The still pictures are recorded at a
slightly rewound point from where you
press the [PHOTO SHOT] Button.
≥When you change to the Still Picture
Mode, you will hear a click. This is the
sound of the iris closing and not an
indication of malfunction.
≥If you record still pictures in
Progressive Photoshot Mode when
your Movie Camera is set to
Programme AE (
the images may change.
≥Using the Night View Functions
cancels the Progressive Photoshot
Function.
About [PROGRESSIVE] Setup
≥When the [æ] Indication is displayed,
you can use the Progressive Photoshot
Function.
When [PROGRESSIVE] is [ON]:
You can use the Progressive Photoshot
Function at any time. In this case,
however, the following functions are
disabled.
≥Digital Effect Modes in [EFFECT1]
≥Digital Zoom [D.ZOOM]
≥1/750 s or faster shutter speed
When [PROGRESSIVE] is set to
[AUTO]
You cannot use the Progressive
Photoshot Function in the following
cases.
≥When the zoom magnification is
approximately 10k or higher
≥When the shutter speed is 1/750 s or
faster
≥When [EFFECT1] is set to [WIPE],
[MIX], [STROBE], [GAIN UP], [TRAIL],
[MOSAIC], [MIRROR]
≥When the pictures are displayed on a
Multi screen
ª Self-timer Recording
≥When [BEEP SOUND] on the
[OTHER FUNCTIONS1] Sub-Menu on
the [CAMERA FUNCTIONS]
Main-Menu is set to [ON], the beep
sound will be emitted along with the
Recording Lamp flashing in the
Self-timer Standby Mode.
≥By operating the [OFF/ON/MODE]
Switch, the Self-timer Standby Mode is
cancelled.
