Note that S-video can be played simultaneously with a composite video and an analog audio.
Assuming the receiver is so equipped, connect Dolby Digital (AC-3) with 5.1 channels, then connect
the player to the amplifier, and the amplifier to the six speaker connections between AC-3 decoder
and the speakers.
If the TV supports the S-Video signal and provides an S-Video connector, the connection to S-Video
can be made as shown in Figure 7.
If the amplifier supports the optical signal and provides an optical connector, the connection to
optical can be made as shown in Figure 7a.
