8 Remove the four screws holding the control cover in place (see picture below). Pull the control cover
forward slightly and disconnect the flame height knob (do not remove the knob). This allows the
control cover to move upwards, away from the concealment cover.
9 Pull the control cover forward, taking care to not damage any wiring (see picture below). This will
allow access to the gas control valve.
10 Use a T-20 torx wrench to remove the stock regulator (see picture below). This item may be
discarded.
11 The LP regulator has an installation sheet included with it – make sure to follow all of the directions.
Place the regulator on the gas control valve – MAKE SURE IT IS CORRECTLY ORIENTED. Secure
using the screws included with the motor – tighten to 25 Lb-inches. Leak test this area after
installation to verify proper installation.
12 Restore the appliance to the correct configuration. Make the gas line connection, bleed the gas line
(if applicable), start the heater and thoroughly leak-test all gas connections and the gas control valve.
