the cans and between can and loudspeaker.
Because in some cases cans are installed first,
and the loudspeakers are installed immedi-
ately thereafter, whereas in other situations
the cans are pre-installed including the facility
wiring to the can, there is no "perfect" single
order in which to present these topics. We de-
scribe the actual mounting of the can into the
ceiling (or wall) after we describe the general

Wiring
As detailed subsequently, there is no need
Power Determination
to specially select different wire terminals
for 8-ohms or for various 70-volt and 100-
volt power taps. Instead, a face-mounted
tap switch allows you to make this selection.
Once the loudspeaker is mounted correctly
in the ceiling, set the tap switch to the appro-
priate tap setting before any audio is passed
through the loudspeaker. Do not change the
setting on the tap switch while the loud-
speaker is in use.
The only tool required is a screwdriver,

tightened in place. The terminal block in the
can's outer recess has two (+) connections
and two (-) connections. If you're only
