IP Configuration

- Building your network
To enable communication between the products, it is
necessary to allocate them unique addresses called:
"IP address". A blank table is given in the appendix.
To ensure this uniqueness, the first step consists
of creating a table of the IP addresses of the different
products.
Note :
Technical information on IP addressing is given in
Appendix I.

The addresses of the peripheral devices must be
filled in according to the information given in their
respective manuals.
- Customized IP address
If necessary (for example: existing LAN), it is possible
to change the default address, as long as
the addressing rules explained in Appendix 1 are
followed.
Note :
If the LAN contains a Hub/Router, enter its IP address in the
"GATEWAY" field.
The DNS address is given by the Internet Service Provider.

After confirmation of a new IP address, the connection
with Omizzy™ is broken.
To re-connect, enter the new IP address in your
browser's "Address" field and click on enter.
Important :
When making changes to IP addresses, it is advisable
to change the IP address of the PC last. The IP addresses
of the server and the PC must be in the same class.
(See Appendix I on IP addressing)
- BOOTP server
This function applies when the user has a private
LAN equipped with a server which automatically
allocates fixed IP addresses (BOOTP server).
The procedure to be followed consists of connecting
Omizzy™ the first time to its IP factory address
(192.168.1.12) then checking the "BOOTP" box
on the "IP configuration" screen and confirming.
The next connection will be to the IP address provided
by the BOOTP server.
If, after 3 minutes, the BOOTP server has not
responded to Omizzy™, it returns to its factory
address.
Deselecting the "BOOTP" box causes Omizzy™ to
retain the address which is currently displayed,
which can then be changed.
