Problem
1. The screen is too bright or too dark.
2. Characters are blurred.
3. Afterimages appear.
4. Green/red/blue/white dots or defective
dots remain on the screen.
5. Interference patterns or pressure marks
remain on the screen.
6. Noise appears on the screen.

Possible cause and remedy
• Use"Brightness"intheAdjustmentmenutoadjustit.(The
LCDmonitorbacklighthasalimitedlifespan.)Whenthe
screenbecomesdarkorbeginstoflicker,contactyour
localEIZOrepresentative.
• CheckwhetherthePCisconfiguredtomeettheresolution
andverticalscanfrequencyrequirementsofthemonitor
(see"2-1.CompatibleResolutions"(page15)).
• Use"OutlineEnhancer"intheAdjustmentmenutoadjust
it(see"Toenhanceoutlineofimage"(page21)).
• AfterimagesareparticulartoLCDmonitors.Avoid
displayingthesameimageforalongtime.
• Usethescreensaverorpowersavingfunctiontoavoid
displayingthesameimageforextendedperiodsoftime.
• ThisisduetoLCDpanelcharacteristicsandisnota
failure.
• Leavethemonitorwithawhiteorblackscreen.The
symptommaydisappear.

IntheAdjustmentmenu,set"Overdrive"to"Off"(see"2-7.
ConfiguringMovingImagePerformance"(page30)).
• WhenenteringthesignalsofHDCP,thenormalimages
maynotbedisplayedimmediately.
• Whenthesignalisswitched,thepositionofthewindow
maybechanged.IntheAdjustmentmenu,set"DPPower
Save"to"Off"(see"5-6.SettingDisplayPortPowerSave"
(page40)).
• Use"Screen"-"ColorSpace"(fortheHDMIinput)under
theAdjustmentmenutoadjustit.
• Thescreenissettoasizeotherthan"Full".Changethe
settingto"Full".
• ForCX240,1080iand1080parethemaximumresolutions
whentheHDMIsignalisinput,soanimagecannotbe
displayedusingtheentirescreen.
