The AIMB-781 offers Six serial ports (two on the rear panel and four onboard) for
QG2 version and two serial port for QVG version. JSETCOM3 is used to select the
RS232/422/485 mode for COM3 on QG2 version. These ports can connect to a serial
mouse, printer or communications network. The IRQ and address ranges for those
ports are fixed. However, if you want to disable the port or change these parameters
later, you can do this in the system BIOS setup. Different devices implement the RS-
232/422/485 standards in different ways. If you are having problems with a serial
device, please be sure to check the pin assignments for the connector.
