News
The News application starts up the RSS news
reader application, which provides you with
real-time news.
WARNING
• For safety reasons, do not perform any
operations while driving.
Doing so can take your mind off the road
and create the risk of a traffic accident.
Always stop your vehicle in a safe place
before operating the unit.

Displaying the News List

On the Home screen, tap the [News] key.
This starts up the RSS news reader
application and displays a news list screen.
News category selection keys will appear at
the bottom of the screen. Tapping a
category key will display a news list for that
category.

To view details about a news item, tap it.
This starts up the browser and displays a
news detail screen.

Configuring News Category Settings
Use the following procedure to configure news
source and news category settings.

On the news list screen, tap the [News
Source] key.
This displays the news source list.

Select the news source whose category
setting you want to configure.
This causes the check box next to the news
source to become selected.

Tap the [Categories setting] key.
This displays a list of categories that can
be used by the selected news source.

Select the news category you want to use.
This causes the check box next to the
selected category to become selected.

The selected category appears below the
screen.
NOTE
• You can select up to five news categories for a
single news source.
• Changing news category settings will cause
the category keys that appear on the news list
screen to be updated accordingly.
