Chapter 8 Using the Portal Site
After performing user and unit registration on
the Clarion portal site, you will be able to obtain
bulletins from the portal site in real time on your
unit.

Obtaining Information
from the Portal Site

On the Home screen, tap the Portal Sync
key.
NOTE
• In the Car mode, tap the application launcher
Portal Sync key.
• The Navigation application will automatically
start up when POI information is received.
Sometimes a navigation warning screen will
appear. If this happens, tap the [OK] key on
the warning screen.
This will access the portal site and display
the Portal Sync screen.
When there are multiple ClarionMiND units
registered for a single user, tapping this key
will display a list of registered units.
Bulletins from the Clarion portal site are listed
on the screen from top to bottom in the
sequence shown below.
• POI download bulletins sent to the portal site
• News bulletins
• Latest software update information

Obtaining POI Information

Tap the "POIs" [Go] key.
This starts up navigation and displays the
downloaded POI list.

Tap a POI.
This displays the POI detail screen.

Check the contents of the screen and then
tap
.
This executes route calculation.
NOTE
• Tapping the [Save to Contacts] key will
register the POI name, geographical
coordinates, address, phone number, and
other information as a new Contacts record.

(P. 58).
• Go to "Member Service Guide" on the Clarion
portal site (http://my.clarion.com) for details
about the transmission of POI information.
