Your server can contain optional redundant fan by replacing the factory-installed fan.
Standard Configuration

Fan connector 12

Fan connector 3
Fan connector 4
Replacing with the optional redundant fan
FRONT
Connect the cables for single fan (red, yellow, black, and brown) to connectors 3, 5, 7, 9, and 11.
Connect the cables for double fans (white, gray, orange, and purple) to connectors 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12..
Connectors 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 are for optional fans.
