Redundant Fan
Replace the standard cooling fan with an optional redundant fan to make redundant fan configuration.

See Chapter 2 (1.5 Removing the Top Cover) to remove the top cover.
3.
Disconnect the fan cable from the
backplane.
4.
Lift the fan unit straight to remove it.
5.
Install the redundant fan unit.

Important
Keep the removed fan unit for future use.
Important
Make sure that the fan unit faces rearward of the chassis as shown by the
arrows that indicate the air flow.
