The batteries may be flat, dead or incorrectly inserted.

Recharge or replace the batteries.

Is the handset registered correctly to the base, see page 72.

Check that the mains power is correctly connected.
•
Check that the handset is within range of the base.

The batteries are low, place the handset on the base/charger to recharge.
Blue base light pulsing on/off
•
You have received a new message, answering machine message or new calls
list entry. You will need to read your text message, page 60, play your answer
message, page 42 or view your calls list, page 48.
You hear the busy tone when you press
•
Make sure the handset is in range of the base.
•
Another handset registered to your BT Reveal base may be on the line.
Answering machine does not record any messages
•
The memory may be full. Play and delete old messages, see page 42.
•
The outgoing message might be set to answer only, check and change to
answer and record, page 41.
