es or plastic parts. Never spill any fluid. If
spilled, clean it up immediately.

Clutch

Check the free play in the clutch lever and
make sure the clutch operates properly. If the
free play is incorrect, adjust it. (See page 7-21
for details.)

Throttle grip

Turn the throttle grip to see if it operates prop-
erly. Make sure the grip returns by spring
force when released. There should be a free
play of 3 ~ 5 mm at the throttle grip. If the free
play is incorrect, ask a Yamaha dealer to
make this adjustment.
