Butler Outdoor 2010 - Twin - Triple

11 Troubleshootin

Risk of injury or death due to electrical current!
In the event of danger, disconnect the device from the 230 V mains immediately.
Symptom
Display remains dark.
No sound.
The
symbol is flashing.
The base station or handset
does not ring.
No connection despite good
sound quality.
Calls cannot be forwarded on a
PBX.
Telephone does not respond
when keys are pressed.
Possible cause
Battery pack not activated.
Batteries not charged.
Handset is switched off.
No power.
Telephone cable incorrectly connected or
defective.
The line is engaged by a different handset.
Handset is out of range.
The base station has no power.
The handset is not registered to the base
station.
The ringer volume is off or too low.
The dialling mode is incorrect.
The flash time is too short.
Programming error.
Solution
See "2.3 Handset activation" how to activate the battery.
Charge the batteries.
Switch on the handset (see "4.2 Switching the handset
on/off").
Check that the devices has the correct power supply.
Check the connection of the telephone cable (see "2.1
Commissioning the base station").
Wait until the other handset hangs up.
Move closer to the base station with the handset.
Check the power connection to the base station.
Register the handset to the base station (see "9.1
Registering an additional handset").
Set the ringer volume (see "4.16 Setting the ringer
volume on the handset".
Check the dialling mode (see "8.4 Setting the dialling
mode").
Set the device to a long flash time (see "8.2 The flash
key (R)").
Remove the batteries and then insert them again after
1 minute.
