Making Single Assignments
without Assign Mode
Instead of putting C|24 in Assign mode, you can
make single assignments from normal mode.
If making an assignment in Send Console
mode, make sure the Send Pre/Post and
Send/Mute switches are not active.
To assign single Inputs or Outputs:
Press the Input switch or Output switch in the

Assign section of the Channel Bar.
Press and hold the encoder switch on the track

where you want to make the assignment. The
Assign switch flashes.
Turn the encoder to make the assignment.

Press the flashing encoder switch to confirm

the assignment.
To assign single Inserts or Sends:
Press the Insert or Send switch in the track's
1
channel strip. The Insert or Send positions are
shown in the LCD displays.
Do one of the following:

• For an Insert or Send position with no as-
signment, press the encoder switch that
corresponds to "assign,"
– or –
• For an Insert or Send position with a cur-
rent assignment, press and hold the en-
coder switch that corresponds to "more."
The Assign switch flashes.
Turn the encoder and press the "select" and

"back" switches to make the assignment.
Press the flashing encoder switch to confirm

the assignment.

Entering Numerical Values in
Pro Tools Windows
You can enter numerical values in the on-screen
Main and Sub Counters, Start/End/Length
fields, and Pre/Post Roll fields in the Edit and
Transport windows.
To move the cursor between fields:
Press the Previous (Left) or Next (Right) Arrow
switch to move the numerical selection back-
ward or forward through the field.
To increase or decrease the selected numerical
value:
Press the Up or Down Arrow switch.
Displaying the Transport Window
You can show or hide portions of the Transport
window and navigate fields in the window from
C|24.
To show/hide the Transport window:
Press the Transport switch in the Windows
section.
To show/hide the MIDI section of the Transport
window:
Hold the Command/Ctrl Modifier switch and
press the Transport switch.
To show/hide the Counter section of the Transport
window:
Hold the Ctrl/Win Modifier switch and press
the Transport switch.
