Square—shows the quality of squares. The black square
shows feathering when there is a toner density problem.

Bar—shows the quality of bars. The black bar shows
feathering when there is a toner density problem.

Swatch Column—shows the color matching swatches

Print Density Adjustment Dials—shows the cyan, magenta,
and yellow print density adjustment dials. The + and - indica-
tors (in each swatch row) indicate the direction to rotate the
print density adjustment dial for that row of swatches.

Target Square—indicates that the printer is in balance when
the colors for both the square and the swatch match.
Often in scanned images, colors may be too light or dark to show
details clearly. Use the contrast and brightness adjustments in the
Copier menu to improve the quality of the scanned image. See chap-
ter 2, "The CrownCopy Menu" section, for more information on these
options.
Brightness is the perceived quality of radiance or luminosity of a
visual object. Increasing brightness (moving the setting in the L direc-
tion) makes light and dark areas in the image appear lighter.
