10–16 Troubleshooting
This message means that either the printer's
cover is open, or there is no toner cartridge in the
printer. If the printer needs a toner cartridge,
insert one according to the instructions in Chap-
ter 9. If the printer's cover is open, shut it gently
but firmly.
