The integration framework supports external system queries. The external system
sends an XML message to query the integration framework and the integration
framework returns an XML message as a response to the query. You can execute a
query by using HTTP, Java™ Remote Method Invocation (RMI), or a Simple
Object Access Protocol (SOAP) request in a Web service.
Support for XML queries is based on the system Query By Example (QBE)
capability. XML-based queries provide the same query support that is provided in
the applications except for attribute searches that are available in some system
applications.
