Optional Programming
KEYPAD
For convenience-- it's easier to perform programming before mounting the Keypad
A. ESTABLISHA PIN
ON THE WIRELESS KEYPAD:
1. Press,in order, 3-5-7. (This is the default PIN)
2. Press _.
3. Enter your new PIN (3 to 8 characters).
4. Press _.
B. PROGRAM DOOR(S)
ON THE OPENER'S POWERHEAD (Fig.
1 ):

1. Press and hold D on the Powerhead for 2 seconds
SET
(the round LEDturns BLUEand the OFF,
the long LEDwill begin flashing PURPLE).
ON THE KEYPAD:
2. Enter your PIN.
3. Press_. LEDswill stay steady. on
4. Press again. LEDswill turn off.
5. Press again. Door opener will run.
NOTE: P ressing anykeywill stopandstartthe openerduringthe next30
seconds. ( Itwill automatically stopat the fullyclosed or fullyopenposition.)
C. OPERATING A DOOR
ON THE WIRELESS KEYPAD:
1. Enter your PIN.
2. Press_.

NOTE:Rapid blinking of the red LEDindicates an error.
After afew seconds the LEDwill turn off. Start over.

D. MOUNTING KEYPAD
THE KEYPADMUST BE MOUNTED (1) WITHIN SIGHT OFTHE
GARAGEDOOR(S), (2) AT LEAST5 FT.ABOVETHE FLOOR
AND (3) CLEAROF ANY MOVING DOOR PARTS.
1. Remove the battery cover and batteries (Fig. 3).
2. Drill a 1/16" pilot hole for the top mounting screw (included).
3. Install a screw into the pilot hole, leaving a 1.8" gap between
the screw head and the wall (Fig. 2).
4. Hookthe keypad over the screw _
head (slot on back of keypad).

5. Mark and drill a pilot hole for thel gap

E. AUXILIARY ACTIONS
FORGOTTEN YOUR PIN?
If youhaveforgottenyourPINor youfear it mayhavefallen
intounauthorized hands, y oumusterase the old programming.
1. Erase old PIN,
• Press& hold _with the_for 5 seconds or
until the lights turn off.
2. Create New PIN.
• return to Steps A & B and follow instructions as before.
CHANGING YOUR PIN:
1. Enter your Current PINand press _ .
2, Enter your New PIN and press _ .The opener will
now work with the New PIN.
USING A TEMPORARY PIN:
AtemporaryPINallowstemporaryaccess toyourhomeby
repairpersons, meterreaders, e tc.whileyouareout,if yousodesire.
1, Enter you current PIN and press _ 3 times.
2. Enter a temporary PIN and press _
.
NOTE:NO NEEDTO REPROGRAM YOURKEYPAD. T he temporary PINis
cancelledthe next time your normal PINisentered.
CHANGING BATTERIES:
If the Keypadbacklightdoesnotcomeon, this indicates the
needto replacethe batteries. N oprogrammingislostwhen
replacing the batteries.
1. Remove battery cover and batteries (FIG.3).
1, Replace with same type battery. Check proper direction.
THEKEYPAD IS PROGRAMMED.
