Force and Speed Control
Thesecontrolsare factory programmedand automaticallyset
themselveswhenyou usethe WallConsole to openand closethe
garagedoorfor the first time.Thedoor MUSTcompletea full cycle
from opento closeand closeto open beforeit is fully set.
NOTE:Forceor SpeedcontrolsDONOTrequireprogramming.Force
and SpeedLimitsare factory set and rarely requireadjustments.
Making adjustmentsto these settingsis coveredin Troubleshooting
Sectionof this manual(pages21-22).
Openand closeyour garagedoor usingthe Wall
ConsoleOpen/Close button.
NOTE:Usingthese functionsfor the first time automaticallysets the
Forceneededto openand closeyour garage door,
FORCE ANDSPEED CONTROL A RENOWSET.
Contact Reverse Test
NOTE:TheLimit and ForcesettingsMUSTBECOMPLETED b efore
performingthe ContactReverseTest.

Open the garage door using the Open/Close button
on the Wall Console.

Laya 2" x 4" boardflat underthe centerof the
door opening.

Closethe
door usingthe Open/Close
garage
button on the Wall Console.
Whenthe door contactsthe board,it shouldstop and reversedirec-
tion within 2 secondsto the fully OPEN position.RedLEDlights on the
powerheadwill beginto flash with the reversalof the door.The next
cyclewill clearthe lights.
Contact Reverse Adjustment
If the door stopsbeforecontactingthe boardor if it does not reverse
directionto fully openafter contactwith the board,it may be due to
improperlyset DOWN limits.
Repeatthe Settingthe Down Limit steps 1-5 to make certainthe door
is closingtight to the floor.
Repeatstep 10 to set force limits.
Thenrepeatthe WALLCONSOLE/Contact Reverse Test,steps11-13.
Repeatthis processas neededuntil door passesthe ContactReverse
Test.Forfurther help,referto MAINTENANCE and ADJUSTMENTS,
RegularMaintenance, p ages16-19.
