SD Memory Card Security Function

For the SD memory card security function, you can configure and insert an SD memory card
instead of entering a password for following cases.
When power on the computer
Set the SD memory card
Windows log on screen appears
Use when starting the computer:
Set the Supervisor Password in the Setup Utility (
the configuration procedure.
Use when logging on to Windows (Resuming from the standby or hibernation
mode, or the screensaver):
The Windows log on user and password must be set in [Control Panel] in advance. For
information on how to set the user and the password, refer to the Windows Help.
CAUTION
When handling an SD memory card with the security function configured
• Be careful not to lose the card.
• When stepping away from the computer, do not leave the card in the slot.
NOTE
Use the formatted SD memory card. (
This security function only works in the SD memory card slot. It does not work in
devices such as an SD card reader/writer connected through a USB connection or PC
Card connection.
