Problems with Disk and Drive

Unable to read/write to the hard disk
Cannot read from or write to a floppy disk
To format a floppy disk
Cannot boot from internal DVD-ROM & CD-R/RW drive
Your drive or file may not have been properly set.
Check if there is sufficient space on the hard disk.
Check that the account with which you are logged on has read and write permissions.
Your hard disk content may be corrupted. Contact your technical support office.
Are you using the Panasonic CF-VFDU03 USB floppy disk drive (optional)?
Has the floppy disk drive been correctly connected?
Has the floppy disk been correctly inserted?
Has the floppy disk been correctly formatted?
For the method of formatting, see the next item ("To format a floppy disk").
Your floppy disk content may be corrupted.
If it is possible to read but not write, check whether the floppy disk is write-protected.
Use the following procedure to format a disk.
Click [start] - [My Computer] - [3 1/2 Floppy (A:)].

Click [File] - [Format] in the menu.
B
Check the disk capacity and format type, then click [Start].
C
Check to make sure that the bootable CD is set properly.
Start up the setup utility, and confirm the following settings.
• [Legacy USB Support] is set to [Enable] in the [Advanced] menu. (
• [CD/DVD Drive Power] is set to [ON] in the [Main] menu.
• [USB CDD] is the first device shown in [Boot priority order] in the [Boot] menu. (

Bootable CDs created using B's Recorder in the CF-W2 and CF-Y2 series cannot be used
on this computer. If you want to share bootable CDs with those series, create a new
bootable CD.(
