Click the "Shut Down" command from the Advanced Controls -> Tools
tab of Drobo Dashboard. The power light will turn off once you have
safely shut down. You can now safely disconnect power and store Drobo
for a prolonged period.
If you do not have access to Drobo Dashboard for any reason, then:
1. Turn off your computer and wait for power light to change
from green to orange.
2. Disconnect the USB, FireWire 800 or eSATA cable and wait for
power light to change from green to orange.
3. Press the power switch on the back of the Drobo.
Saving power
If you are concerned about saving power, you don't need to worry
about turning off your Drobo when not using it. Drobo automatically
goes into a power saving (standby) mode (spins down the hard drives)
when it has not been accessed for 15 minutes or when you turn off your
computer.
Note: Drobo S allows you to modify the time intervals for disk drive spin down.
