into sixth (6) p osit{on.

Withthewheel d rivecontro{ r eleased, push thesnow thrower forward, t henpull
it back. T he machine should move freely.
3.
Engage t hedrivecontrol a ndattempttomovethemachine bothforward and
back, r esistance should befelt.
4.
Move thespeed selector shiftlever i ntothefastreverse ( R2) p osition andrepeat
theprevious t wosteps.
Ifyouexperienced resistance rolling the unit,either w henrepos{tioning thespeed
selector shiftlever f rom6 toR2orwhenattempting to move the machine w iththedrive
control r eleased, adjustthedrivecontrol i mmediately. See Adjusting Drive andAuger
Controls.

From beneath t hehandle, pulldownward ontheappropriate cable and
unhook t hespring found ontheend ofthecable fromitsrespective actuator
bracket. Refer to Figure 1 4.

Ifadjustingthe drivecable,threadthe locknut outward(downthe coupler
towardsthe endof the thread)to lengthen the cableandallowthe un{tto
movefreelywhenthe control{sreleased.
Thread the locknut inward(upthecouplertowardsthe cable) to shorten the
cableto reduceslippage andprevent t he mach{ne from beingeas{ly moved
w{th the dr{vecontrolengaged.
Donotover-tighten the cable. O ver-tightening mayprevent t he augershaftfrom
disengaging a ndcompromise t he safety of thesnowthrower.
Ifadjustingthe augercable,threadthe locknut downthe couplertowards the
endofthe threadto lengthenthe cableasnecessary t o stopthe augershaftfrom
turningwhenthe controlisreleased.
4.
Reattach t he springto the rear-mostholeinthe actuatorbracket.
5.
Repeat the wheeldriveandaugercontrol t eststo verifyproperadjustment.
Repeat p revious stepsif necessary t o attainproperadjustmentofeachcable.
