Recalibration for new vehicle or tires
The navigation system measures distance using the vehicle's speed pulses. The vehicle's speed pulses vary
depending on the manufacturer and tire size. Therefore, whenever you install this system into a different
vehicle or replace your tires, the distance coefficient is automatically recalibrated. This done by comparing the
speed pulse data to the GPS calculated distance. To make the recalibration speed faster, clear the current
coefficient. You can check on the screen whether or not vehicle's speed pulses are being counted.
