Setting assumed speed

The navigation system allows you to fine-tune the parameters which influence the calculation of travel
time. If you are a slower or faster driver, the assumed speed settings can be adjusted accordingly.

Press the MENU button to display the
main menu bar. Select Setup and press
ENTER. The Setup menu appears.
Select Guidance and press ENTER.

Highlight Assumed Speed and press
ENTER.

Two choices are displayed. Select one
and press ENTER.
A) When set to FWY (Freeway), the
system will display the Set Assumed
Freeway Speed screen.
Tilt the joystick to the right or left to
increase or decrease the assumed
speed respectively. When setting has
been finished, press ENTER to end
the setting procedure.
B) When set to SFC (Surface Road), the
system will display the Set Assumed
Surface Road Speed screen.
Tilt the joystick to the right or left to
increase or decrease the assumed
speed respectively. When setting has
been finished, press ENTER to end
the setting procedure.
Note: Do not select the speed exceeding
the speed limit.

Press the MP/RG button.
The system returns to the Detailed Map
display.
