Field
Signal Quality
Displays the Relative Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) of the signal transmitted between the
AP and mobile computer. As long as the Signal Quality icon is green the AP association is
not jeopardized. If the icon is red (poor signal), an association with a different AP could be
warranted to improve the signal. The signal strength icon changes depending on the signal
strength.
Status
Indicates if the mobile computer is associated with the AP.
Signal Quality
Displays a text format of the Signal Quality icon.
Tx Retries
Displays a percentage of the number of data packets retransmitted by the mobile computer.
The fewer transmit retries, the more efficient the wireless network is.
Missed Beacons
Displays a percentage of the amount of beacons missed by the mobile computer. The fewer
transmit retries, the more efficient the wireless network is. Beacons are uniform system
packets broadcast by the AP to keep the network synchronized.
