Accessing CentreWare Internet Services when Data Encryption is
Enabled
When HTTP communication is encrypted, enter "https" instead of "http" before the address
when accessing CentreWare Internet Services.

https://192.168.1.100/
• Example of Internet address

Configuring Settings to Encrypt Communication Data for Printing with
the IPP Port
Encrypting HTTP communication makes it possible to encrypt communication data when
printing with the IPP port.
If the printer's IPP port is disabled (the default is [Disabled]), enable the report using the
procedure under "1.5 Enabling Ports" (P. 34).
Next, install a print driver on your computer and specify IPP as the output port.
The following describes how to install a print driver on your computer. The procedure uses
Windows XP as an example.

(HTML)' on the Driver CD Kit CD-ROM.
1.
On the Windows [Start] menu, select [Printers and Faxes].
2.
Under [Printer Tasks], select [Add a printer].
3.
In the [Add Print Wizard] window, click [Next].
4.
Select [A network printer, or a printer attached to another computer], and then click
[Next].
5.
Select [Connect to a printer on the Internet or on a home or office network], and then
enter the following URL into [URL]:
https://IP_Address/ipp/ (where IP_Address is the IP address of the printer).
Then click [Next].
6.
Click [Have Disk].
7.
In the dialog box that appears, enter (CD-ROM drive name): (folder where print driver
is stored), and then click [OK].
