Installation and Configuration on Mac OS

Fuji Xerox PS Utility

Fuji Xerox PS Utility enables remote configuration of the printer from your Macintosh
computer. This section describes how to install, uninstall, and use Fuji Xerox PS Utility.
NOTE: To use Fuji Xerox PS Utility, make sure to set the printer's EtherTalk port to
[Enable] and set the printer correctly in Chooser. See the User Guide on how to
enable the EtherTalk port.

Installing Fuji Xerox PS Utility

1.
Insert the PostScript Driver Library CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive.
The [FXOPS-PS] icon appears on your desktop.
2.
Double-click the [FXOPS-PS] icon.
The [FXOPS-PS] window opens.
3.
Copy the "Fuji Xerox PS Utility" folder to your Macintosh hard disk.
The Fuji Xerox PS Utility is installed.
For information on how to use Fuji Xerox PS Utility, see Using Fuji Xerox PS Utility on
page 98.
Store the CD-ROM in a safe place.

Uninstalling Fuji Xerox PS Utility

1.
Move the "Fuji Xerox PS Utility" folder from your Macintosh hard disk to the
[Trash] icon.
The Fuji Xerox PS Utility is uninstalled.

Using Fuji Xerox PS Utility

The following explains how to activate and configure Fuji Xerox PS Utility.
Fuji Xerox Print Utility allows you to configure the printer's system, paper feeding, and
paper delivery settings. It also allows you to download PS files to the printer and set the
printer's name and EtherTalk zone.
