6. How to operate EX500 - GPR1 ( PROFIBUS-DP )

6 -1. Communication wiring

A twisted pair cable with shield is used in the
communication wiring of PROFIBUS- DP.
A maximum length of cable depend on
communication speed.
The specification of cable length is based on
TYPE A cable which has parameters shown below.

It is necessary to attach terminating
resistance to the units located at the
ends of transmission line.
