FCC AND OTHER DOMESTIC/INTERNATIONAL REGULATIONS
The StepMill® 5 has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class A digital device,
pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection
against harmful interference when the equipment is operated in a commercial environment. This
equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used
in accordance with the instruction manual, may cause harmful interference to radio
communications. Operation of this equipment in a residential area is likely to cause harmful
interference in which case the user will be required to correct the interference at his own expense.
Under the FCC guidelines, operation is subject to the following two guidelines:
(1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any
interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
The equipment generates and uses radio frequency energy. If the products are not installed and
used in accordance with the instructions provided in the owner's manual, interference with radio
communications may occur. Likewise, if unapproved accessories are installed, interference with
radio communications may occur.
The intent of the FCC Class A limit is to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference
in a commercial installation. However, there is no guarantee that interference may not occur in a
specific installation. In the event that interference is experienced, turn off the unit to verify that it is
in fact the source. If the interference clears with the unit off, then try each of the following
measures and combinations thereof:
