If you have not done so already, assemble and put on the scanner, as explained in
Chapter 2.
STEP 7: O
PEN YOUR
1. Start the application that you want to enter scanned data into. Make sure a
document or spreadsheet is open.
2. Place the cursor where you want data to enter.

1. Press the trigger button and aim your finger at the barcode. The red laser
beam should cover the entire width of the barcode. For example, try
scanning the barcode below:
2. After a successful scan, the Bluetooth CRS will beep, the LED will flash
green, laser will turn off, and data will appear in your application. By
default, the cursor automatically advances to the next cell or line, ready
for the next scan.
Notes:

See Appendix B for scanning tips.
•
If no data is read in a few seconds, the laser will turn off, and you must try
again.
