6-16. Front Disk Drive Replacement

When necessary, refer to other removal procedures.
HP 16500A
1. Remove the power cord and the top cover. To remove the top cover, refer to section 6-10, "Cover
Removal."
2. Remove the two disk drive mounting screws.
3. Slide the front disk drive assembly toward the rear panel until the assembly is out of the instrument.
4. Disconnect the control cable for the disk drive.
5. Remove the shield from the top of the assembly and the mounting bracket from the bottom of the
assembly.
6. Set the address switch on the replacement disk drive assembly to the "1" position, then reverse this
procedure to install the replacement disk drive assembly.
