6-15. Rear Disk Drive Replacement

When necessary, refer to other removal procedures.
HP 16500A
1. Remove the power cord and the bottom cover of the instrument. To remove the bottom cover, refer
to section 6-10, "Cover Removal."
2. Remove the four screws that connect the rear disk drive.
3. Disconnect the control cable for the disk drive, then slide the rear disk drive assembly out of the rear
panel.
4. Remove the insulator from the rear disk drive and install the insulator onto the replacement disk
drive.
5. Set the address switch on the replacement disk drive assembly to the "0" position, then reverse this
procedure to install the replacement disk drive assembly.
