Settings: Customising your machine

^ Dip the strip in your drinking water for approximately a
second, then shake off any excess water. The result will be
evident after about a minute.
If the water is harder than 40 °d / 7.0 mmol/l, limescale will
build up more rapidy than with soft water. Descaling will
need to be carried out more regularly than stated to
prevent limescale damage to the machine.
The machine has four programmable levels:

To set the correct water hardness level,

^ Turn the right hand control until "Settings" is highlighted and
then press the control.
SETTINGS F
^ Turn the right hand control until "Water hardness" is
highlighted and then press the control.
A tick L will appear beside the water hardness level which
has been selected.
