FIELD
Encapsulation
Press [SPACE BAR] and select PPP to configure remote
management. The Prestige will acquire the WAN IP address from the
PPP server. The remote management channel you select cannot be
used for data transfer. To configure a channel for data transfer, refer
to section 3.3.
VPI
Enter the VPI (Virtual Path Identifier) that your NSP gives you. The
range of the VPI is 0-255.
VCI
Enter the VCI (Virtual Channel Identifier) that your NSP gives you.
The range of the VPI is 32-65535.
Outgoing:
My Login
Enter the login name that your NSP gives you. This field may contain
up to 31 characters. Trailing spaces are truncated.
My Password
Enter the password that your NSP gives you. It should be associated
with the My Login field above. This field may contain up to 31
characters. Trailing spaces are truncated.
When you have completed this menu, press [ENTER] at the prompt "Press [ENTER] to confirm or [ESC]
to cancel" to save your configuration or press [ESC] to cancel and go back to the previous screen.
After you save your configuration you can return to menu 11 to display the channel you selected for remote
management, as shown next.
