Nonfatal Errors
**** ERROR **** [2014]:
Cannot relocate a jump instruction that would have to go from
address-1 to address-2, in order to call the procedure named
name, because a jump instruction cannot alter the high order
hexadecimal digit of the address.
**** ERROR **** [2015]:
Cannot relocate a gp-relative reference to the data item
named name, because the target address is too far away from
the value of the gp register, even though this data item is
'small' data, as it should be.
The address of the data item
is address.
This occurred for entry number number-1 in the
relocation table for the section-name section of the input
object file named 'filename', and the reference is at byte
offset number-2 within that section.
**** ERROR **** [2016]:
Cannot relocate a gp-relative reference to the symbol named
name, because the target address is too far away from the
value of the gp register.
The address of the symbol is
address.
This occurred for entry number number-1 in the
relocation table for the section-name section of the input
object file named 'filename', and the reference is at byte
offset number-2 within that section.
The compiler should not
use gp-relative addressing for this symbol, because this
symbol is not 'small' data.
**** ERROR **** [2017]:
Cannot relocate a gp-relative reference to one of the 'small'
data sections, because the target address is too far away
from the value of the gp register, even though it is correct
to use gp-relative addressing for the 'small' data sections.
The address of the data being referenced is address.
This
occurred for entry number number-1 in the relocation table
for the section-name section of the input object file named
'filename', and the reference is at byte offset number-2
within that section.
