ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
15) When you use headphones, keep the volume at a mod-
erate level. Ifyou use the headphones continuously with
high volume sound, it may cause hearing damage.
16) Do not overload wall outlets : extension cords, or ime-
gral convenience receptacles as this call result m a risk
of fire or electric shock.
17) Apparatus should not be exposed to dripping or splash-
ing and no objects filled wifll liquids, such as vases,
should he placed on file apparatus.
18) Keep your fingers ;','ell clear of file disc tray as it is clo>
ing. Neglecting to do so may cause serious personal
mju_:
19) Do not place a heavy object on or step on the apparatus.
Tile object may fall, causing serious personal injnU and
serious damage to the apparatus.
20) Do not place the apparatus on amplifiers or equipment
that may produce heat.
21) Do not cover the ventilating holes for the inside cooling

22) Do not use a cracked, deformed, or repaired disc. These
discs are easily broken and may cause serious personal
i_juW and apparatus malfunction.
23) If file apparatus should smoke or smell, immediately
disconnect tile power cord from tile ;','all outlet. Wait
until the smoke or smell stops, then ask your dealer for
a check and n'pair. Neglecting to do so may (:rose lily.
24) \Vhile it is thundering, do not touch tile connecting
cahles or the apparatus.
25) Tile apparatus includes lead, all ingredient of solder
human and tile environment. When disposing of this
apparatus, follow the rules and regulations in your area.
| Handling Cautions
• Before connecting
other components
to this recorder, be
sure to turn them all off.
• Do not move the recorder while a disc is being played, or
the disc may he scratched
or hroken, and the recorderg
internal parts may he damaged.
• Do not put a flower vase filled with water or any small
metal objects on tile recorder.
• Be careful not to put your hand into the disc tray:
• Do not place anything
other than the disc in the disc tray
• Exterior interference
such as lightning and static electrici-
ty call affect normal operation
of this recorder. If this
occurs, turn the recorder off and on again with tile
POWER hutton, or disconnect
and then reconnect
the
power cord to the wall outlet. Tile recorder will operate
normally:
• Be smc to lcmove tile disc and turn oft the lccoldm after use.
• Disconnect
the power cord from the wall outlet when you
don't intend to use the recorder for long periods of time.
• Clean the disc by wiping in a straight line from the inside
to the outside of the disc.

For safety reasons,

• Do not use benzene,
thinner,
or other solvents
for
cleaning.
• \Vipe the cahinet with a soft cloth.
| Disc Handling

• Avoid touching the surface of a disc
where recording is performed.

• Clean with an optional DVD-RAM/PD

cloths for CDs to clean DVDRAM/

Cautions on handling discs
• Do not write on the printed
side with a ball-poim
pen
or pencih
• Do not use record cleaning
sprays or antistatic.
Also,
do not use volatile chemicals,
such as benzene
or
thinner.
• Do not apply labels or stickers
to discs. (Do not use
discs fixed with exposed
tape adhesive
or leftover
peeled-off
stickers.)
• Do not use scratch-proof
protectors
or covers.
• Do not use discs primed
with label primers
available
on tile market.
• Do not load warped
or cracked
discs.
