Saving the Focus Mode ,_p.95
The procedure for setting the focus manually (MF) is described below.

Press the four-way
controller ( • )
in a
mode.

Use the four-way
controller
(•)
to
select MF
and press
the OK
button.
The central portion of the image is
magnified
to fill the screen of the LCD
monitor when focusing.
Press the four-way controller
(.v).
The MF indicator
appears
on the LCD
monitor to indicate the approximate
distance
to the subject.
Use the four-way
controller
(•
v) to adjust the focus using
the indicator
as a guide.

: for distant focus

: for closer focus
Press
the
OK
button.
The focus is fixed and the camera
returns to capture status.
The focus position
is fixed five seconds
after you remove
your finger
from the four-way
controller.
After the focus is fixed, you can press the four-way
controller ( • ) again
to display the MF indicator
and readjust the focus using the four-way
controller
( • • ).
Shooting
mode and drive mode cannot be changed while adjusting
MF
MF indicator
To switch from MF to another focus model Press the four-way
controller
(•)
while the MF indicator
is displayed.
